A very nice song by the young Sudanese singer Taha Suleiman. The video was shot in Egypt and it really nice, which makes the song even better. This is Taha’s first music video and he’s obviously going to be on top of the Sudanese music charts.
When will we have good capabilities for shooting such videos in Sudan? The scenery over there is amazing but the industry itself is still at zero level.
I never saw this video before, and I thought I knew everything about Sudanese music. Ahmed Al Mustafa – a late famous Sudanese singer for those who don’t know him – performs one of his most famous songs (Rahmak ya Malak) with the Lebanese queen of music: Sabah.
First of all, I’ve never seen such old footage of him in this young age. Ahmed Al-Mustafa’s image for me was always when he was older. Something like this…
Secondly, I never imagined a video like this existed. It is obviously part of an egyptian movie, shot sometime in the 50s of the last century, clearly seeing the studio equipment, footage quality the hilariously silly way the girls are dancing, . I have no clue on the name of that movie or what role was Ahmed Al-Mustafa playing in it (if any). But still, watching Sabah singing that song is something you have to see.
And here is the video from youtube, thanks to sfscorpio1. Enjoy!
